The Sly Fox Gastropub
The Sly Fox Gastropub

The Sly Fox Pub’s opening signifies a new beginning in Chef/Owner Mark Elliott’s career as he realizes his long time dream of capitalizing on the success of his opus, Elliott’s on Linden in Pinehurst. For the past year, Mark (who is originally from England) and his staff, have worked relentlessly to faithfully create the perfect public house for the masses in the Sandhills and beyond.

Ashten's Restaurant
Ashten's Restaurant

Ashten's was first opened in 1997 by sisters Ashley and Quinten Van Camp. The original concept was to be comfortable yet elegant, like an old English manor house. The crest, which hangs over the door to the Pub, has a Lion and a Unicorn fighting over a crown roast with "not new things but in new ways" written in latin.

The Wine Cellar and Tasting Room
The Wine Cellar and Tasting Room

This locally owned, unique combination retail wine shop/wine bar has been serving Southern Pines, Pinehurst and all of Moore county since 1997. Whether you need an inexpensive wine for your party, or a rare addition for your cellar, the Wine Cellar has it for you!

The Jefferson Inn
The Jefferson Inn

This Southern Pines hotel has recently been the subject of a year-long multi-million dollar restoration, transforming it into the area’s only boutique hotel. The goal of the renovation was to create an environment in which our guests could experience the history and lifestyle of the pristine town of Southern Pines, while basking in comfort and service rivaling the nation’s top boutique hotels.

The Sunrise Theater
The Sunrise Theater

The Sunrise Theater is situated amidst the magnolias and long-leaf pines on Broad Street in Southern Pines, North Carolina. The building, erected in 1898, began as a hardware store. In the 1940s, the building became a movie theater which remained a staple of downtown Southern Pines for over 40 years. When the movie house closed its doors, for what appeared to be its last time, in the early 1980s, the Arts Council of Moore County (ACMC) and the Sandhills Little Theater rallied enough community support to restore the building and give it a third life as the Performing Arts Center, owned and operated by ACMC.

Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities
Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities

Weymouth was established in 1903 by Pennsylvania coal baron James Boyd as a winter country retreat. Later, as the home of his grandson, noted author James Boyd, it served as a gathering place for many prominent authors of the 1920s and 30s. Rescued from demolition and restored by Friends of Weymouth, it is now the home of Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities.

Southern Pines Brewing Company
Southern Pines Brewing Company

Southern Pines Brewing Company first started as an idea in the spring of 2013.  Micah, John, and Jason were at the mid-point of their military careers as Green Berets in the U.S. Army, and all had served on the same Operational Detachment Alpha Team.  The three had homebrewed some in the past and enjoyed the social atmosphere that homebrewing provided.  After being reassigned to new jobs, they came up with the idea of starting their own business after hearing an investor talk about his ownership in a local, North Carolina craft brewery.  The entrepreneurial spark was ignited, and the three began to develop a plan to open a craft brewery of their own.

Walthour Moss Foundation / Horse Country
Walthour Moss Foundation / Horse Country

Imagine a woodland where time has stood still and where nature is protected and will never fall victim to bulldozers and concrete. Imagine a place where the environment is preserved and exists as a sanctuary for wildlife and enjoyment for mankind. Such a paradise exists today. The Foundation was originally known for its equestrian use, which continues to attract world-class riders and drivers to its sandy lanes and trails. However, the implementation of proper silva culture and ecological practices have made the Walthour-Moss Foundation a true environmental preserve.

First Friday Downtown
First Friday Downtown

“First Friday” is a monthly community nonprofit event, for people of all ages in the Southern Pines area. Participants will have access to food, beverages, live music and other forms of entertainment, which will enhance the enjoyment of each occasion.
